St Cedd Pilgrimage

Monday 25 May 2015 | 2pm

The remains of the church at Bradwell which was founded by St Cedd in the 7th Century.

Pilgrims are invited to make their way to Bradwell-on-Sea in Essex, where stands one of the oldest extant church buildings from Anglo-Saxon times. In fact, it was founded by St Cedd himself, who lived in the 7th C! (Please click here for a link to the bulletin containing his LIfe.) We will serve a moleben to the saint at 2pm followed by some refreshments at the nearby Othona Community at approximately 3.30pm. There will be plenty of time to look round the ancient chapel and absorb the beauty of this grace-filled place. We hope as many people as possible can make it, as it is so important that we keep up our veneration of, and prayer to, our local saints.
